I am excited to be starting my 6th year of teaching English at Pike Road!  I have taught every level of secondary English from 6th grade up to college composition, but this year I will be focusing on 9th grade English.  I believe that language is the most powerful tool that we have, and I love being able to share my passion for language, reading, & writing with my students.  I have a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Alabama, master's of liberal arts with a specialization in English from AUM, and a master's of secondary education from AUM.  I have been married to my husband Joseph for 16 years, and we have 1 daughter.
