Greetings Everyone!

I am Ms. C.  August Haygood and I will be your Learner’s English Language Arts Grade 8 teacher this 2020-2021 school year.  I have completed ten years in this incredible career with this being my first year at Pike Road Junior High School.  My education consists of a Bachelor’s degree in English with a Concentration in History from Tuskegee University and a Master’s degree in Secondary English Language Arts Education at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM). I am currently pursuing an Instructional Leadership Certification at AUM. I am the proud mother of an AMAZING pre-school aged daughter and Jackson, our Yorkie Poodle dog. My goal for this term is to cultivate a well-rounded and diversely motivated student.

Due to the current pandemic, we the C8 Lead Learners have created a resource for both Parents and Learners to receive academic information while out of school. Please note, this does not supersede the information that has been provided by Pike Road Junior High School or Pike Road Schools. In the event of your Learner having to become quarantined, please utilize the Contact Form above to receive specific information regarding the ability to access your Learners classes in a Temporary Virtual setting. You will then receive a response from the C8 Lead Learners that will contain how to receive academic information such as Zoom links, Virtual Class Norms, etc.
